Mom and Dad took us to Cozumel right before Christmas, and we each got to bring our "significant other." :-) So Troy bought his girlfriend Sarah and I got to bring Adam. It was a lot of fun to all be together.
We ate some good seafood, beach side.
The water lapped up not five feet from us.
Our waiter kept saying, "Ok, Familia!"
We went back again later in the week because the Mahi Mahi was so good!
On Tuesday, we celebrated Mom's birthday. She's always wanted to parasail, so we all went. (I don't have photos of all of us in the air, but we were all up there at some point, I promise!) It was A LOT higher than when we went to Key West this past summer, and I got a little scared, but the water was so beautiful and clear and blue. Amazing!
Happy Birthday, Mom!
Silly Adam.
On our last full day in Mexico, Adam rented us a Jeep and we went all the way around the island. He did a great job of navigating the city and the crazy drivers. It was quite an adventure, as usual with him. :-) The other side of the island has bigger waves and deeper beaches, and it was just fun to see another part of Cozumel.
I've always wanted to ride in the kind of Jeep where you zip the windows off and ride with the wind in your hair. It was really fun. The beaches were beautiful and we just stopped along the way, played on the beach, grabbed a bite to eat for lunch and then went to another one of the beaches. Adam played in the water for about two and a half hours, and I sat in the sand and read my book. It was lovely! I did end up getting in the water before we left, and it was a bit chilly. After a huge wave came over my head and completely doused me, I went back to the sand. But at least I got in! It was a grand day!
The trip was wonderful, and we had a fun time and got back on the day before Christmas Eve.
Sounds like a great trip, especially the Jeep part!
